ASABE to Revise Braking Series Standards /news/asabe-to-revise-braking-series-standards/ Tue, 26 Jan 2021 18:24:14 +0000 /?p=12732 The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) is revising portions of a series of machinery standards known as ANSI/ASABE S648, Agricultural Field Equipment Braking.

Part 4, Requirements for Towed Vehicles, will be revised to make clarifications regarding the definition of towed vehicle types, and Part 5, Requirements for the Interface between Towing Vehicle and Towed Vehicles, will be revised to clarify and correct interface testing criteria.

Association consultant and standards expert John Fisher characterizes the work as minor and does not expect members to be affected.

For information on this or any other ASABE standard, contact Scott Cedarquist at (269) 932-7031 or cedarq@asabe.org.

Members of this Association who are not members of ASABE can receive at no cost the compilation of industry standards produced by ASABE—a $650 value.
