Along with the closing, employees will be laid off as well, starting in October.

According to the report, RhinoAg president Lisa Tubbs said in the letter the decision is a “strategic move necessary for the long-term sustainability” of the company.

Just days earlier, Alamo Group announced the sale of its Herschel Parts business to F.P. Bourgalt Tillage Tools. The company’s net sales for the second quarter ended June 30, 2024, were down 5.5% to $146.3 million. Net sales for its Vegetation Management division — which includes its ag products — were down 19.1% during the quarter vs. last year.

In the 2024 North American Equipment Dealers Assn. Dealer-Manufacturer Relations survey, RhinoAg was among the “rising stars,” showing the most improvement across every category.

Bush Hog announced Dan Bratt has joined the Bush Hog Team as vice president of sales and marketing, reporting to Gerald Worthington, president, effective June 27, 2022. He will replace Kerry Meacham who is retiring in July.

Dan comes to Bush Hog, Inc. from his position as Director of Sales & After Sales Support with Ledwell & Son. He began his career with CNH in the New Holland Agriculture Division where he worked in multiple sales and marketing roles. He served as National Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales for Great Plains Manufacturing followed by a Sales Management position with Kubota Tractor Company.

The company brings its pink mower to farm shows all over the United States each year to raise awareness about Joy to Life, which funds mammograms for the uninsured in Alabama. Visitors to the shows buy a chance to own the statement-making piece of machinery while they support women’s health.

“We are proud to work with a fellow Alabama organization in this critical cause,” said Bush Hog President Jerry Worthington. “Breast cancer has impacted the lives of our families and our Bush Hog family. Every life that can be saved by early detection and treatment is a blessing.”
