This standard applies to closed transfer systems for liquid formulations of plant-protection products in 1- to 20-liter containers. It specifies operator- and environment-related safety requirements, and means of verification, in system design and construction.

The adoption will further harmonize national and international standardization, a goal that facilitates manufacturing, safety advancements, and product marketing worldwide.
