This dealership is in the southeastern part of the state, 15 miles south of Detroit.

Sell’s Equipment started as a mechanic shop servicing the nation’s Ford Model T boom of the twenties in 1923. They survived the depression just in time to begin selling Ford tractors in 1940. By December 1941 manufacturers shifted focus to production for the war, but through ingenuity and dedication to the community, Sell’s equipment was ready for the agricultural and construction boom that followed the war.

The company has acquired Bader and Sons Co. and D&G Equipment. These multi-store dealerships will be rebranded as Hutson, Inc., effective immediately.

“We are excited about the additional economies of scale and overall value created by combining these dealerships,” said Hutson’s Josh Waggener. “We have been intentional about building bench strength over the past few years, which is allowing us to grow our footprint seamlessly while continuing to be trusted advisors for our growers.”

Hutson has 790 team members in 30 locations throughout Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee and now Michigan.

Messick Farm Equipment has broken ground on a new facility in Mount Joy, Pa. The site will become Messick’s primary location. After decades of expansion in Elizabethtown, the Kubota tractor dealer decided to move to open a business with more space and the capacity to grow. A soft opening is scheduled for late 2021 and a grand opening for January 2022.

Torgerson’s LLC, a CNH dealer, has added its first Wyoming store. “Many of our customers out of necessity have traveled from Wyoming to Montana for their parts and service needs, which is why we have decided to invest in the community that invests in us,” the company said.

Torgerson’s is a fourth generation implement dealer with 11 locations throughout Montana.

Sunshine Quality Solutions, a 17-store Deere dealer in Louisiana, has broken ground for a new location in Lake Charles, La. The store will open in 2022.

“We pride ourselves on having a team of high-quality technicians, the best equipment, and the largest parts inventory for same-day services,” said CEO Rob Richter. “This new facility will allow greater accessibility for our customers who are linked to the land.”
