Creating the Fair Repair Act. States that manufacturers of electronic products sold and used in the state shall make diagnostic and repair information, including repair technical updates and embedded software updates and corrections, available to any independent repair provider or owner of products manufactured by such manufacturer. The bill does not apply to motor vehicles, any product or service of a motor vehicle manufacturer or motor vehicle dealers.
