Padget Technologies Unveils new Injection Machine

Padget Technologies, Inc., previously Diedrichs & Associates, Inc., announces the launch of the new Green Turf Pro polymer injection machine on February 10th at the 2016 Golf Industry Show in San Diego, CA.

Golf course superintendents and turf managers now have a significant opportunity to change their best management practices for watering fairways and rough. At a rate of two acres per hour, the Green Turf Pro polymer injection machine can inject amendments, macro and micro nutrients, bio stimulants as well as hydrophilic polymer three inches deep and in a three inch grid pattern directly in the root zone.

“This was an opportunity to make a significant impact on golf course watering practices as well as turf in a variety of applications including athletic fields such as soccer, softball, lacrosse, football, baseball, not to mention city parks, large corporate campuses, and sod farms. Designing and building a ‘tool’ that helps turf managers make a difference, with actual realized savings of 50% or more, based on field test results from an 18 hole golf course in California in 2015 where the government has mandated water savings standards, is our goal. The Green Turf Pro helps them accomplish that!”, relayed Dennis Padget, President & CEO of Padget Technologies.

He also added, “Hydrophilic polymers is not a new technology and has been around for at least a decade. Our polymer injection machine was developed about 9 years ago and was actually ahead of its time. However, the focus on resource conservation, especially water, is now coming more into focus as well as saving labor and other resources. In fact, the savings realized by the 18-hole golf course in California in 2015 was not in the cost of water, but it was, in fact, savings realized by using less electricity to pump water, since this course has its own well. There simply wasn’t a need to water as much saving thousands of dollars of electricity costs, and, electricity savings is one of those items that can benefit any golf course, municipality, or turf manager almost anywhere.“

“It can also have a significant impact on the maintenance costs of the irrigation system. If an irrigation system is used half as much, or some percentage less, maintenance costs can and will be reduced on that system. That is an ancillary benefit of the Green Turf Pro machine. It is a machine that will actually pay for itself.”

The Green Turf Pro empowers turf managers, whether it is a municipality managing its golf courses and other athletic fields, a private golf course, the facilities manager at a large corporation managing the corporate campus turf, or a turf management company, to better manage the turf they care for and to increase the water holding capacity of soils. With an application rate of two acres per hour injecting polymer, nutrients or other turf care additives, is quick and efficient. The injected polymer provides the continuous availability of water and nutrients uniformly and completely at the plant root zone.
