Below is a brief schedule of events for guests. While we have highlighted events that we believe will interest those who register as a Spouse/Guest, you are welcome to attend any of our sessions or meetings, as long as space permits.
Tuesday, October 27
Registration desk – The registration desk opens at 7:00 am each day. In addition to picking up name badges, the registration desk is a great spot to meet other attendees, visit staff, and get answers to any questions you may have.
Welcome Reception – The Welcome Reception is from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, and is a great place to meet fellow attendees, catch up on old times and meet new colleagues. There is no formal program for this event, so feel free to stop in as your plans permit. Many guests will still be arriving, therefore travel casual attire is fine.
Wednesday, October 28
Joint Industry Breakfast and Opening Session – This session is from 8:00 to 9:30 am and is designed to kick off the convention. This is our largest event and fills quickly, plan on arriving early for the best seating.
Spouse/Guest Tour – Guests have the option to sign up for a tour on Wednesday (more information to come) followed by lunch and free time for shopping. See below for more information. (Additional fee)
Pitch Contest – This event is open to all who register. Come here new ideas in the agricultural world.
EMDA’s Partners Party – This event is by invitation only from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
Thursday, October 29
Joint Industry Breakfast Buffet – There will be no speaker at this session, so enjoy a leisurely morning at this breakfast buffet from 7:00 to 9:00 am.
EMDA’s Industry Showcase – Take a stroll through this event where attendees learn about products and services from manufacturers and suppliers. The showcase will take place from 12:30 to 3:30 pm
Joint Reception – A celebration of a great meeting completed. A perfect time to have a last minute visit with attendees of both our Association and EMDA. The reception will be from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
Farewell Outing – Join us for cruise on the the Natchez riverboat. This is a three hour event. We have rent a whole deck just for us. There will be dinner and music provided and a cash bar available. The cost is $125 a person. (Additional fee)
Wednesday Guest Tour
Registration fee: $150
A Taste of New Orleans
Join us for a delightful morning exploring the rich history and flavors of New Orleans. The outing will begin at the renowned New Orleans School of Cooking for an interactive cooking demonstration and lunch. During this two-hour experience, local chefs will demonstrate the preparation of classic Louisiana dishes while sharing the history and traditions behind Creole and Cajun cuisine. Guests will enjoy each course as it is prepared, along with complimentary beverages, and will receive copies of the recipes to take home. This memorable experience offers the perfect blend of culture, cuisine, and Southern hospitality while enjoying the best of New Orleans. Following lunch, guests will enjoy a guided tour of The Historic New Orleans Collection Museum, where guests will discover fascinating stories, artifacts, and exhibits that bring the city’s unique heritage to life.
