Uber & Lyft
The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport has a number of transportation services, including app-based ride share services, such as Uber and Lyft. Lyft and Uber are authorized to provide services at the airport. Use the apps on your mobile device to arrange for a ride. Uber riders should exit doors 9-11, cross the walkway to the middle curb, and join the queue. To ride with Lyft, exit doors 7-9, cross the walkway to the middle curb, and join the queue.
Local Taxi Drivers
All taxi companies accept credit cards.
Taxis are available in the designated taxi loading zone located on the Arrivals Curb outside Level 1 Baggage Claim at Door 7.
Flat-rate taxi service from the airport to the Central Business District (CBD) and the French Quarter (west of Elysian Fields Avenue) is $36 for up to two passengers. For parties of three or more, the fare is $15 per passenger. All taxis are required to accept credit card payments for your convenience.
Travel tip: Remember to jot down the cab company, vehicle number and driver’s name when traveling to and from the airport, just in case you leave something behind.
On-Airport Car Rentals
Traveling to the MSY Rental Car Center is easy via the complimentary MSY Rental Car Lot Shuttle. To access the shuttle, exit the terminal from Level 1 Baggage Claim and walk toward the Long Term Parking Garage located adjacent to the terminal. The shuttle pickup area is located directly in front of the garage.
Nonstop shuttle service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with departures from the terminal approximately every five minutes. The ride to the Rental Car Center typically takes 15–20 minutes.
